Jill grew up in Conway Springs and attended Cowley County Community College on a journalism scholarship, receiving her Associates Degree in 1990. She attended KSU for a year and then transferred to WSU where she received a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies in 1993.
She met her husband, Matt, while attending KSU. He was in the Army... part of The Big Red One, and spent seven months fighting in Desert Storm shortly after they met. They were married in 1993 and have lived in Mulvane since 2001. They have a daughter, Alex and a son, Adam.
Jill has spent her first 10 years out of college working for FedEx Ground and Home Delivery, 8 of those years as a manager and 2 years as a contract delivery driver, so she really knows her way around South Central Kansas.
Jill's "spare" time involves watching Tennessee Lady Volunteer basketball, refurbishing a 1965 Ford F-100, coaching grade school volleyball and basketball and breeding Yorkshire Terriers.
